Your bank’s balance isn’t what you can spend.
$642.15 at the bank, minus $43.15 that hasn’t cleared, minus $186.40 in bills before payday.
Your bank’s balance doesn’t know about the card you used last night, or the rent that comes out Friday. Adjustmint counts both, so the number you see is the number you can spend.
Three balances, each with one job.
What you can spend now
Everything you spend comes off right away, before your bank sees it. Money coming in counts once it’s in your account.
What your bank shows
Only what has cleared. When it matches your bank, you know your records are right.
Everything you entered
Where you’ll be once everything clears.
Will you make it to payday? You’ll know.
Add your bills and when you get paid. Adjustmint lines up what’s due before your next paycheck and shows what’s left to spend.
- Bills enter themselves on their due date.
- If a bill would take you below zero, you see it days before, not after the fee.
- Your paycheck counts once it clears. Never before.

Built by someone who needed it.
Our founder built the first version of Adjustmint in the early 2000s, as a young professional living paycheck to paycheck and constantly overdrawn. Writing down every purchase and watching three balances stopped the overdrafts. He used it for years, until he didn’t need it anymore.
That’s the goal for you, too: use it until you don’t need it.
Simple pricing.

Questions
Why don’t you connect to my bank?
You don’t need to, and it’s safer. Entering things yourself is what makes you notice them, and there’s no bank login for anyone to steal.
Is this a budgeting app?
Not really. A budget plans the month. Adjustmint answers a simpler question: what can I spend right now, and will I make it to payday?
What if my pay isn’t on a schedule?
The free register still works: the three balances keep you from overdrawing. Road to payday needs a payday to count to.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen like an app.
Can I use it for credit cards?
Not yet. Checking and savings for now; credit cards are next on our list.
